Open to Texas Residents and school. Must be in K - 5/6 grades to play. Participants cannot play up, if you are a 6th grader in an Elementary School (no 7th grade) or a 6th grader in an intermediate school (no 7th grade) then you must play in this section. Home schooled 6th graders and private school 6th graders must play in middle school.

(Note that TCA has ruled that private school 6th graders in a K-6th private school may play in Elementary.  A good rule of thumb is that if you are in 6th grade and your school has a 7th grade, then you should play in Middle School. If you are in public school and in 6th grade and your school has no 7th grade, then you must play in one of the Elementary sections. K-3 graders may play in one of the primary sections or may play in one of the Elementary sections.)

Choose Section carefully. Elementary Sections mean the player could be playing against players kindergarten thru 6th grade in elementary school. 6th graders in middle school must play in middle school tournament.  Primary means the player could be playing against players Kindergarten thru 3rd grade. Here are the sections:
K-1 Championship players must be Kindergarten or 1st grade, all ratings are possible, no limit.
Primary (K-3) Championship players must be Kindergarten thru 3rd grade, all ratings are possible, no limit.
Primary JV (K-3 w/Ratings Under 600) players must be Kindergarten thru 3rd grade, February supplement rating must be under 600.

Elementary (K-5/6) Championship, players must be Kindergarten thru 5th or 6th grade, all ratings are possible, no limit.
Elementary JV (K-5/6 Under 800) players must be Kindergarten thru 5th or 6th grade, February supplement rating must be under 800.

There is a $10 charge for changing sections after Februrary 28 so choose wisely.
