Report and Photos by Helen Jamison:

A few photos from the Insanity Tournament this weekend. Many thanks to Luis Salinas for staying up and running this tournament even though he could hardly talk towards the end of the tournament due to a sore throat. One chess player flew in from Austin to take part in this Insanity chess. A few players managed to play all 20 games, the young, the bold and the restless, others attending family Christmas gatherings came in the 4th round. In between rounds a few played the role playing game Dungeons and Dragons, others played bughouse, some played the card game "Magic the Gathering", others lay where ever they could to catch a few zzzzz's, after the clock struck midnight, and then there were those who crashed out in their sleeping bags in the early hours of the morning,  some went home to catch up on some sleep to return the next morning all fresh and well rested, ready to out wit his/her opponent in the battle of Insanity chess. Courtney loves the Insanity because it is a lot of fun and it is a challenge to see how long she can stay awake, she knows she lost some rating points but we are very fortunate to have so many tournaments at the Dallas Chess Club she knows she will get them back.  Insanity Chess is crazy and lots of fun and great experience.
