The
Webmaster's
Lair
Welcome to the Webmaster's Lair.
Dec. 5, 2002
It is time for me to say good bye. On Nov. 20th I gave notice that I would no longer be able to continue to work as the Dallas Chess Club Webmaster. My last day as webmaster will be Dec 23, 2002. I have really enjoyed working on this site. As of today, I don't know who the new webmaster will be, but the webster@dallaschess e-mail will remain good; the mail will simply go to someone else.
It was my intention when I took over doing the webwork for DCC to make this site the absolute best club site in Texas. I don't know if I have hit that mark, but I'd like to think I've come close. Information and results have been posted as soon as I have received them and with the exception of weekends when I'm usually not online, I have missed very few days of work over the past (how many??) years. However, my diligence is insignificant compared to the work of various club officers and members. If you like this site, don't thank me...thank the people who have sent me great material to post. Luis, who sends me TLAs and results; Brad, who has worked so hard deciphering your illegible scoresheets so we can have games on this site, Susan Breeding who sends me tournament info and registration flyers to post. Helen Jamison (and sometimes Brad as well) who has sent me pictures from tournaments and more recently Todd Binnix who has taken over compiling the calendar. If you love this website and you love this club; tell one of the people who make it all possible, people like Luis, Susan, Brad, Jason Doss and John Jacobs who have given lectures, Igor Shtern who teaches so well. Gosh, I know I'm forgetting to mention a lot of folks who keep this club running...anyway, grab one of them and tell them you're glad they do all that they do. If there were not so many people working so hard running the Dallas Chess Club, I would have nothing to post on this site. DCC is a great club and this website would be nothing without all the officers and members who do so much.
Again, I have really enjoyed working on this site. Be nice to the new webmaster. :-)
