7 Round Swiss - Championship and Amateur Sections

5 Round Swiss Scholastic Side Event.

Championship Section: Rounds 1-3 G/90 with 30 sec increment, Rounds 4-7 G/120 with 30 sec increment.

Amateur Section: Rounds 1-7 30/90 SD/1, round 1 of 3 day is G/120 (deduct 5 min for delay).

Texas Chess Association membership required, other states association memberships accepted.

Up to two ½ point byes available if requested before end of round 2 and before any full point bye is awarded. Byes for both rounds 6 AND 7 is not permitted.

The 4 day and 3 day schedules merge for round 2.

Championship: Open to players with USCF or Fide ratings of 2000 or greater and last year's Amateur Champion. Foreign Unrated must play in Championship Section. This Section is also Fide rated but uses USCF rules.

Last year's Amateur Champion - Jonathan Allen is eligible to play in the Championship Section.

High School Champion and co-champions are eligible to play in the Championship Section - Abhishek Mallela, Karthik Ramachandran, William Ong, Matthew Liu, Jeff Feng, Daniel Hung (some are already eligible because their rating is over 2000).

5 round Swiss System (no elimination, play all 5 rounds.)

Two Sections: K-12 Championship & K-12 Under 750

Time Control: Rounds 1-3 G/30 (each player gets 30 minutes for each game)

                        Rounds 4-5 G/45 (each player gets 45 minutes for each game.)

Open to anyone in grades K-12, USCF Membership is required.
